Mannes Sounds Festival 2020: A Celebration of American Women

Presented by the College of Performing Arts and Artistic Director Pavlina Dokovska, the Mannes Sounds Festival includes more than 30 concerts, masterclasses and lectures each year, performed by the school's gifted young student artists, distinguished faculty members, and renowned guests at prestigious New York City concert venues and cultural institutions.
“A Celebration of American Women: Artistic Achievement and Suffrage Victory”
Featuring students from Mannes, Jazz, and Drama, this event weaves together music, historical writings, visual art, and poetry into an evening that recognizes and celebrates women’s suffrage.
The event is curated by Jenny Li (BM Mannes '21 / BFA Parsons '21) in collaboration with Liane McAllister and directed by Stephen Brown-Fried.
